ARP (Automotive Racing Products) — High-Performance Engine Fasteners, Head Studs & Bolts
Founded in 1968 by Gary Holzapfel — a former aerospace fastener engineer who recognized that engine failures were being caused by inadequate hardware — ARP (Automotive Racing Products) has spent over 55 years becoming the undisputed world leader in high-performance automotive fasteners. When Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, NHRA, IMSA, and World of Outlaws teams need fasteners they can trust with their engines, there is one name they all turn to: ARP.
The ARP catalog spans over 5,500 part numbers covering virtually every fastener found in an engine and drivetrain — including cylinder head stud kits, main stud kits, connecting rod bolts, flywheel bolts, header bolts, intake manifold bolts, oil pan fasteners, valve cover bolts, wheel studs, harmonic balancer bolts, and complete accessory hardware kits. Fastener materials range from 8740 Chromoly and ARP2000 to the exotic Custom Age 625+ nickel-based alloy — each engineered for a specific strength and temperature threshold to match the demands of street, strip, and full-race applications.
What separates ARP from every other fastener manufacturer is a completely in-house, vertically controlled production process operating out of five facilities in Southern California totaling over 200,000 square feet. Cold forging, heat treating, centerless grinding, thread rolling, and CNC machining are all performed under one roof to exacting tolerances that exceed aerospace standards. Critically, ARP rolls all threads after heat treatment — a process that delivers up to 20 times greater fatigue strength than fasteners threaded before heat treatment. Every stud and bolt is individually rack heat-treated for 360° penetration, then tested on computer-controlled Instron tensile machines to verify ultimate tensile strength before it ever ships.
ARP fasteners are available for virtually every popular performance platform — LS engines, LT engines, Cummins, Duramax, Powerstroke, Honda, Nissan, Subaru, Ford Modular, small block and big block Chevy, Ford, and Mopar, and countless others — covering gas, diesel, import, and domestic applications.
