It fits the 2006-2009 model years sold in the US. If you are shopping for a mk5 gti exhaust, this Remus part is made specifically for that application. Remus has built exhausts in Austria since 1990 and develops each system for a specific vehicle, so the fit is direct and no cutting or welding is needed.

What It Does

As an axle-back exhaust it replaces only the rear silencer section, the part of the exhaust that shapes most of the sound you hear, while everything ahead of it stays factory. Remus lists pipe diameters of 84 mm for this part.

Sound and Character

Remus tunes its exhausts for a sporty but refined sound: noticeably fuller than stock, without an intrusive drone at cruising speed.

Vehicle Coverage

In the US market it fits the 2006-2009 Volkswagen GTI (chassis Mk5) with the 2.0L Turbo I4 engine.
