remus-volkswagen-golf-gti-axle-back-exhaust-2015-2021
Remus Volkswagen Golf GTI Axle Back Exhaust | 2015-2021

The Remus Volkswagen Golf GTI Axle Back Exhaust (part 956017 1600 955213 0000 955213 0300 0026 70SR) is an axle-back exhaust made for the Volkswagen GTI (Mk7). It fits the 2015-2021 model years sold in the US. Like every Remus part, it is developed in Austria for a specific vehicle, so it bolts up to the factory mounting points without modification.

What It Does

It is a rear-section upgrade: the stock rear muffler comes off and the Remus silencer bolts on in its place, so the change is mostly to the sound and the look of the rear end. Remus lists pipe diameters of 102 mm for this part.

Sound and Character

The goal of a Remus exhaust is a sound that adds character to every ride or drive while staying comfortable on longer trips.

Vehicle Coverage

This part is listed for the 2015-2021 Volkswagen GTI (chassis Mk7) with the 2.0L Turbo I4 engine. All years shown are US model years.

Materials and Construction

Remus makes its exhaust parts from high-grade materials and checks each part for fit and finish. The finish is chromed. In Europe it carries EC type approval. Remus covers the part with a 24-month warranty.

Features

Connection tube for mounting of the sport exhaust

Resonated cat-back section, ec approval

Tail pipe set L/R each 1 tail pipe Ø 102 mm angled, chromed, with adjustable spherical clamp connection

What Is Included

1 x Remus Racing Sport Silencer (956017 1600)

1 x Remus Connection tube for mounting (955213 0000)

1 x Remus Resonated cat-back section, EC (2 Tailpipes) (955213 0300)

1 x Remus Tailpipe Set, Ø 102 mm angled, chromed (0026 70SR)

Installation

The part fits at the original mounting points with the hardware Remus specifies, so the installation is a bolt-on job rather than a fabrication project.

Specs

Part number: 956017 1600 955213 0000 955213 0300 0026 70SR

Brand: Remus

Type: axle-back exhaust

Pipe diameter: 102 mm

Fitment Notes

Fits the US-market vehicles listed in the table below.

Remus also lists versions of these vehicles sold outside the US; only US-market models are shown.

Professional installation is recommended.

Please compare the year, chassis and engine of your vehicle with the fitment table below before ordering, and contact us if you have any questions about fit.

Year

Make

Model

Chassis

Engine

2015-2021

Volkswagen

GTI

Mk7

2.0L Turbo I4

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2641/0682/files/2697507bcee31db901862de4be6ba915926b45b7-1500x844_fdb2cf48-6030-4b4e-b2ce-da9565abc5e3.jpg?v=1792265618
