It fits the 2015-2021 model years sold in the US. Remus is an Austrian exhaust maker that designs every part for a specific vehicle, which keeps the installation straightforward and the fit precise.

What It Does

As an axle-back exhaust it replaces only the rear silencer section, the part of the exhaust that shapes most of the sound you hear, while everything ahead of it stays factory. Remus lists pipe diameters of 102 mm for this part.

Sound and Character

Remus tunes its exhausts for a sporty but refined sound: noticeably fuller than stock, without an intrusive drone at cruising speed.

Vehicle Coverage

Remus lists this part for the 2015-2021 Volkswagen GTI (chassis Mk7) with the 2.0L Turbo I4 engine. Model years follow the US market, not the European production dates Remus publishes.

Materials and Construction

Remus makes its exhaust parts from high-grade materials and checks each part for fit and finish. The finish is chromed. In Europe it carries EC type approval. Remus backs its products with a 24-month manufacturer warranty.

Features

Connection tube for mounting of the sport exhaust

Resonated cat-back section, ec approval

Tail pipe set 2 tail pipes Ø 102 mm angled, straight cut, chromed, with adjustable spherical clamp connection

What Is Included

1 x Remus Racing Sport Silencer (956017 1600)

1 x Remus Connection tube for mounting (955213 0000)

1 x Remus Resonated cat-back section, EC (2 Tailpipes) (955213 0300)

1 x Remus Tailpipe Set, 102mm angled (0026 70SGR)

Installation

The part fits at the original mounting points with the hardware Remus specifies, so the installation is a bolt-on job rather than a fabrication project.

Specs

Part number: 956017 1600 955213 0000 955213 0300 0026 70SGR

Brand: Remus

Type: axle-back exhaust

Pipe diameter: 102 mm

Fitment Notes

Fits the US-market vehicles listed in the table below.

Remus also lists versions of these vehicles sold outside the US; only US-market models are shown.

Professional installation is recommended.

Please compare the year, chassis and engine of your vehicle with the fitment table below before ordering, and contact us if you have any questions about fit.

Year

Make

Model

Chassis

Engine

2015-2021

Volkswagen

GTI

Mk7

2.0L Turbo I4

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/2641/0682/files/2697507bcee31db901862de4be6ba915926b45b7-1500x844_97cffa85-d6d5-43b4-a69f-d5c8eecf98da.jpg?v=1792265618
