The Competition Evo 2 intercooler has the following core size (535mm x392mm x95mm = 19,9L / 21,06Inch x 15,43Inch x 3,7Inch = 1214,37Inch³) providing a 175% larger cooling surface and 226% more volume compared to the stock mounted intercooler. Our engineers have increased the intercooler core size and efficiency, as well as improved the end tank design to remove any OEM bottlenecks, resulting in increased flow rating and charge cooling properties.
This Ford Mustang intercooler uses our award winning Wagner Tuning Competition intercooler core, which is made specifically for this application. Constructed of the highest quality Tube and Fin intercooler cores combined with cast aluminum end tanks optimized by CFD for best possible internal airflow. With the help of additional air guides, inside inlet, an uniform filling of the intercooler is provided. To ensure optimum airflow to the intercooler this kit includes an air shroud, made of carbon fiber. On both sides the connection diameter increased to Ø70mm (2,756Inch). The result is excellent cooling properties with minimum pressure drop.
So this kit is jalso ready for racing. Despite of it´s size the weight of the complete intercooler is only 14.7 kg. This kit is ready for installation and is easy to perform (1:1 exchange).
