997.2 Turbo Plenum:
The incredible 997.2 Porsche Turbo received a completely redesigned engine with many substantial upgrades. This latest Turbo is the most powerful, revolutionary and capable Porsche Turbo to ever come out of Stuttgart. The 997.2 Porsche Turbo may have been labeled a "facelift" but the engine is another major evolutionary leap forward in Porsche's coveted Turbo history. This 7th generation Turbo engine, titled the 9A1, delivers 500 HP (530 HP in "S" models) and once again, raises the performance bar in the sports car world.
The new 997.2 IPD Turbo Plenum was considerably more difficult to design and develop than previous Plenums. The good news is that all these efforts have yielded a much easier installation process than previous Turbo Plenums. The new IPD Turbo Plenum is offered in one single 74mm version which utilizes the factory 74mm throttle body. The 997.2 Turbo intake manifolds are smaller than the 997.1 Turbo manifolds which is great for improved boost response and gas mileage but less than ideal for making substantial power gains. The 74mm TB provides more than adequate flow for these more restrictive intake runners eliminating the need for a larger 82mm "Competition" version.
The already explosive power of the 997.2 Turbo can be further increased with the new 997.2 Turbo IPD Intake Plenum. The patented IPD Plenum design works exceptionally well with all forced induction applications and the 997.2 Turbo is no exception. Power and torque increases provided by the IPD plenum are impressive and stay well above all factory power curves from launch to redline. Maximum power increases take place in the midrange where it's most needed, most critical and most enjoyed.
The 997.2 Turbo plenums deliver smooth and linear power with considerably quicker boost response creating a longer and more desirable power band. The Turbo plenums deliver reliable performance for both street and motorsport applications enhancing the already visceral Porsche Turbo driving experience.
The 997.2 Turbo requires an "adaptation" period that can be fully realized with either a series of hard pulls on the dyno or a series of spirited driving sessions, which of course IPD recommends only be performed on a closed course circuit. Installation of all Turbo Plenums is highly recommended to be performed by qualified and trained Porsche technicians.
997.2 Turbo IPD High Flow Y Pipe:
The revolutionary 997.2 Turbo IPD "Y" Pipe was built for the more demanding Turbo performance customer. This is not a cast reproduction of the factory Y pipe but a complete re-design from scratch, developed to deliver even greater air flow for both stock AND highly modified Turbos.
The factory Y pipe becomes restrictive when adding substantial power gains. The IPD "Y" Pipe has larger inlets and an optimized diversion area allowing for even greater power gains. This superior and more efficient design flows 126 more cfm than the factory Y pipe delivering the additional power needed to raise the performance bar on any Turbo.
Bigger isn't always better, and the IPD "Y" Pipe is designed to deliver optimum flow without being too large causing a loss in boost response. These "Y" Pipes can also be special ordered in custom powder coated colors and ceramic coatings or polished to improve the aesthetic appeal of your Turbo engine.

Ballistic acceleration and a top speed of just under 200 mph makes it the most powerful 911 based Turbo to date. But of course there is always room for performance improvements for Porsche driving enthusiasts looking to raise the performance bar even higher.
IPD invested countless hours of R & D with a variety of unique design features and multiple prototype tests before settling on an optimum design that significantly improves engine performance for both stock and highly modified 991 Turbos. Our innovative Y-Pipe design is not only larger but also utilizes “non-round” runners, an optimized merge collector area and our proven dimpled interior surfacing. This superior design delivers greater volume of air, improved laminar flow and increased air velocity. These improvements deliver an additional 35+ wheel HP, 40+ Foot Pounds of Torque, improved boost response and more linear power and torque curves.
As we all know, bigger is not always better when it comes to forced induction applications. The IPD Y-Pipe is considerably larger than the factory but not so large as to cause pressure drop within the intake tract resulting in turbo lag and reduced performance. This optimized “no-round” design with dimpled interior surface cannot be achieved with conventional round tube construction.
The 991 Turbo Y-Pipe is a direct bolt-on engine upgrade that requires no modifications but should be perform by an experienced Porsche technician familiar with the 991 platform. Y-Pipes comes with all the required hardware necessary to complete the installation.

The BMW S65 V8 engine as used in the BMW E9X M3 does not make available all of the horsepower that the engine actually produces. This Power Pulley KIT through a redesign of the crankshaft outer pulley, actually releases this developed and available horsepower.
This performance product is designed to not only to make available horsepower but to still retain all the inherent qualities of your BMW E9X M3 without sacrificing reliability. Another key element in the launching of this under-drive pulley system was the task of manufacturing a DPK, a double side belt for the air conditioner. Whenever you alter the crankshaft main pulley size, it will also influence the size of the A/C belt. As of late production 2007, BMW change over the belt configuration to a double sided groove belt on the E9X M3. Active Autowerke philosophy is always to try and maintain components like a BMW fashion, as if BMW would have done. This would be a first in the BMW performance industry to have an aftermarket DPK belt produced.
To further enhance the system, Active Autowerke will provide an extra spare DPK belt with the kit. This would be for emergency circumstances if the need ever arises. Tested and ran on the in-house Mustang dyno here at Active Autowerke quantifies a true measurable 12 + horsepower gain on a completely stock BMW M3.
Anodized in a hard finish as revealed by the almost jet black color also makes this BMW performance product seem obscure within the engine bay. This performance upgrade is easy to install and can be fully reversible if the need arises. It is packaged to be simple with a crank pulley and correct matching belts in a all inclusive KIT.

981 Boxster/S/GTS DFI:
After a very extensive R & D program we are proud to launch the new 981 IPD 82mm Competition Plenums. We only offer "Competition" versions of the 981 Plenums which upgrades the factory 74mm throttle body with the larger 997 GT3 82mm throttle body. This combination has proven to be considerably more popular and deliver even more performance. This Competition version will work with both 3.4 "S" and 2.9 "Non-S" applications.
The 981 intake is nearly identical to the 987.2 intake. Porsche made a few upgrades with the 981, most notably being that the 981 draws outside air from both driver and passenger air intakes instead of the driver's side only as previously found with all 986, 987 and 987.2 applications. IPD has developed a custom silicone hose designed to perfectly fit the larger 82mm TB and considerably improve air flow.
The new 981 Plenums also benefits from the internal dimpling effect that we are now implementing on all future Plenums. This internal dimpling allows us to control the boundary layer and maximize air flow. Just like a dimpled golf ball travels farther than a smooth golf ball. Controlled turbulent air creates less friction and "tumbles" over a given area more efficiently.
Power gains with the 981 Competition Plenum are virtually the same as with the 987.2 Competition Plenum, putting down 20 horsepower and 16 foot pounds of torque at the wheels. The bulk of the power gains from the IPD Plenum begin around 4000 rpm, continues all the way through to redline and become fully realized in the 6000 rpm range. IPD performance gains stay above both factory power curves throughout the entire rev range.
