Active Autowerke G20 M340i/G22 M440i G2X Chassis Brace

The Active Autowerke G2X brace replaces the factory chassis brace on the BMW G20 M340i and G22/G23/G26 M440i. It is designed to make room for larger exhaust systems.

Active Autowerke includes this brace with its G2X M340i/M440i mid pipes and sells it on its own for cars with other exhausts.

What It Does

The factory brace runs close to the exhaust tunnel and limits how large a mid pipe can be. The G2X brace is shaped to clear bigger pipes while bolting to the factory mounting points, so the underbody stays braced.

Materials and Construction

The brace has a raised center section and bolt plates that line up with the factory mounting points, so it installs as a direct swap for the stock part. Active Autowerke introduced it in January 2025 alongside its updated G2X mid pipes, and every Active Autowerke M340i/M440i mid pipe now ships with one. If you run a different large-diameter exhaust and need more tunnel clearance, this is the part to add.
