Active Autowerke F80 M3/F82 M4 AFlow EL Exhaust Bundle

This is the most complete Active Autowerke exhaust for the BMW F80 M3 and F82 M4: AFlow catted downpipes, the Gen 2 equal length mid pipe with straight pipes, and the Maad Maxx three-can valved rear exhaust, all in one order. It replaces the exhaust from the turbos back and costs less than building the same system one part at a time.

What It Does

The downpipes are the first restriction after the turbos, so freeing them up helps the turbos spool sooner. Active Autowerke notes no performance tune is needed for its S55 catted downpipes. From there the equal length mid pipe brings the two banks back into step, which turns the stock buzz into a smoother inline-six note, and the Maad Maxx rear adds a low, deep rumble while keeping the factory valve control.

Materials and Construction

The AFlow downpipes are TIG-welded 304 stainless with cast stainless V-band flanges and 400-cell stainless cats rated for up to 500 hp. The mid pipe and rear section are also 304 stainless and made in the USA. The rear section is the Active Autowerke Maad Maxx, a three-can valved design with dump valves, flex joints to cut vibration and double-canned mufflers to tame resonance. Each one is test-fitted on Active Autowerke's F8X exhaust fixture. Pick from four tip finishes: brushed stainless, matte black, carbon fiber, or carbon fiber over black.

FAQ

Do I need a tune for the downpipes?
Active Autowerke says no performance tune is needed. Many owners still tune to get the most from the full system.

Can I use my stock rear exhaust?
This bundle includes the Maad Maxx rear. If you want to keep your rear section, buy the downpipes and mid pipe separately.

Does the tip finish change the price?
Yes. Carbon fiber and carbon over black tips cost more than brushed or matte black. The price updates when you pick a finish.
