Active Autowerke F80 M3/F82 M4 AWE Connecting Pipes

These straight connecting pipes let an Active Autowerke F8X mid pipe bolt up to an AWE SwitchPath One rear exhaust on the BMW F80 M3 and F82 M4. They are the custom AWE connection Active Autowerke offers for its equal length and single mid pipes, sold on their own. The straight version keeps the sound as open as possible.

Get them if you are adding an Active Autowerke mid pipe to a car that already has the AWE rear, or if you want to switch between straight and resonated AWE connectors.

What It Does

The AWE SwitchPath One rear section has a different inlet from the factory rear exhaust, so the standard Active Autowerke connecting pipes will not meet it. These shorter pipes bridge that gap and keep the mid pipe and rear section lined up. With no resonators, they give the loudest, rawest result of the connector options.

Materials and Construction

Sold as a left and right pair. Plain straight tubes with welded fittings. Active Autowerke makes the AWE connection to order, so allow extra lead time.

• Active Autowerke lists this part for the F80 M3 sedan and F82 M4 coupe. The F83 M4 Convertible is not on its list, so contact us before ordering for that car.
• The AWE connectors fit the AWE SwitchPath One rear exhaust only. For the factory or an Active Autowerke rear, use 11-076 or 11-076NR.
• These pipes need an Active Autowerke F8X mid pipe; they do not connect to the factory mid pipe.

Straight or resonated?
Active Autowerke suggests the resonated pipes for cars with aftermarket downpipes, strongly recommends them with catless downpipes, and says owners with the M Performance or CS exhaust should strongly consider them. With stock downpipes there is only a small amount of rasp.
