Active Autowerke G87 M2 Single Mid Pipe Resonated

The Active Autowerke Signature single mid pipe brings the single-pipe design Active Autowerke developed on the F8X and G80/G82 M cars to the BMW G87 M2. This version adds a resonator for a smoother tone. The Active Autowerke G87 brace is included.

The G87 M2 is quick, but the factory exhaust is muffled, and many owners feel it does not sound like an M car.

What It Does

Active Autowerke mixes the sound from both banks earlier and for longer than the factory mid pipe, which gives a deeper exhaust note and restores the growl expected from an M car. Active Autowerke offers a full G87 system: a valved rear axle-back, a choice of single or equal length mid pipe, and GESI catted downpipes.

Materials and Construction

100% brushed 304 stainless steel with an industry-standard warranty against rust. It is designed to work with most aftermarket exhausts that use factory-style fittings. It installs with a cut in the stock mid pipe on each side, then joins with factory-style flanges and clamps. Most owners can bolt it on, and the stock mid pipe can be refitted later.
