Active Autowerke E90 325i/328i N52 Rear Exhaust Gen 2

The Active Autowerke Gen 2 Signature rear exhaust is built for the E9X 325i and 328i with the N52 inline-six. Active Autowerke says its free-flowing design and big dual 80 mm tips move 35-40% more exhaust than the factory system, for a sporty but mellow tone.

It follows the factory mounting points and hardware, but it does clamp on after the factory pipe is cut, so plan for that at install.

What It Does

Lower back pressure lets the N52 breathe more freely, which Active Autowerke credits with power and torque gains. A straight-through muffler is paired with Active Autowerke's Noise Cancellation Chamber (NCC) to keep drone down on the highway, and the system saves about 14 lb over the factory exhaust.

Materials and Construction

Full brushed 304 stainless steel with 3 in mandrel-bent piping and staggered dual 80 mm Active Autowerke Signature tips. Mounting positions and tips are fully adjustable, and an illustrated instruction manual shows the cut points.
