Overview

The Active Autowerke Level 2 supercharger kit takes the E36 328i from its factory 190 hp to 360+ hp, according to Active Autowerke. It uses the same Rotrex C38-81 centrifugal supercharger as Level 1 but adds a large front-mount air-to-air intercooler and an upgraded fuel pump, for 25-40 hp more than the Level 1 kit.

Everything needed for a bolt-on install comes in the box, including all intercooler piping and hardware.

What It Does

Compressing air heats it, and hot air is less dense and more prone to knock. The front-mount intercooler cools the charge before it reaches the engine, which lets the kit run more boost safely and keeps power consistent from pull to pull. The high-flow fuel pump and six larger injectors keep up with the extra air, and the Active Autowerke dyno-tuned software ties it together.
