Active Autowerke E9X M3 Rotrex Supercharger Level 4

The Active Autowerke Level 4 supercharger system for the E90, E92 and E93 M3 is built around a Rotrex C38-92R supercharger on a custom CNC bracket with its own dedicated drive belt. Its supercharger plenum replaces the factory airbox, has eight high-flow velocity stacks and an OEM-style look, and is fed through large 3 in intercooler piping from a front-mount air-to-air intercooler. Active Autowerke quotes the most power of the range, with water-methanol and an upgraded pulley. The Level 4 system steps up to the C38-92R and adds water-methanol injection, an upgraded pulley and custom software.

The standard plenum finish is matte wrinkle black; custom colors are available at extra cost.

What It Does

The supercharger has its own oil system with an independent cooler, and eight high-capacity Bosch Motorsport injectors supply the extra fuel. Active Autowerke performance software for the MSS60 ECU is calibrated for 91-93 octane, race fuel or other fuel grades, and is designed for consistent everyday driving. A custom intake box around the filter pulls cool air in a factory-style layout. Active Autowerke recommends a high-flow or no-cat mid section and addressing rod bearing condition on the S65 before any modification.
