Active Autowerke E9X M3 Signature X-Pipe with GESI Cats

The Active Autowerke Signature Track Pipe with X-Pipe replaces the factory section between the S65 V8 headers and the rear exhaust on the E9X M3, and this version comes with connecting pipes carrying two 4 in GESI G-Sport high-flow catalytic converters. It needs no performance tune.

It was designed to work with most aftermarket rear exhausts and mufflers, as well as the factory rear section, without cutting, welding or modification.

What It Does

The X-shaped crossover lets each bank of the V8 help pull exhaust from the other, a scavenging effect that improves on the factory design. On the Active Autowerke chassis dyno it measured 12+ rwhp when added to the Signature rear exhaust and 10+ rwhp with the factory rear. It also saves weight: about 25 lb against roughly 40 lb for the factory part.

Materials and Construction

TIG-welded, brushed 304 stainless steel with factory-style flanges and a cast stainless upper V-band. Each GESI converter uses a 400 cpsi substrate furnace brazed to the mantle, is rated for 300-500 hp per cat and handles up to 1,500 F, and reaches operating temperature within about 9 seconds of start-up.
