Overview
The Akrapovič BMW M240i (G42) Slip-On Line Exhaust (Titanium)(will need BMW#18 30 8 686 640) (part S-BM/T/32H) is a Slip-On Line exhaust for the BMW M240i (G42). On the Akrapovič dyno it added 9.5 hp and 15.1 lb-ft.
Benefits
As a slip-on (rear section) system it keeps the factory front pipes and converters and swaps out the heavy stock mufflers. The result is a lighter car and a far more characterful exhaust note, with a straightforward bolt-on install. Valves in the system keep it calm at a steady cruise and open it up for a much louder, deeper sound when you push on. Akrapovič notes that no ECU remap is needed for this setup. An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is offered for this car to add more control over the exhaust sound. Akrapovič has versions and fitment notes for cars with and without a particulate filter, so check the engine and chassis in the table.
Materials and Construction
Titanium is the material Akrapovič is best known for. It is much lighter than steel, handles heat well and resists corrosion, so the system keeps its strength and finish over many heat cycles. Some of the parts are cast in Akrapovič's own titanium foundry. The carbon-fibre parts are finished by hand.
Akrapovič started in racing and still develops its road parts with the same tools: its own dyno, sound lab and titanium foundry. Each part is made to fit the factory mounting points of the car.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.
Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.
Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.
Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.
Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
