Overview

The Akrapovič BMW M340i (G20) / BMW M440i (G22) Sound Kit (part P-HF1351) is an exhaust valve control part for the BMW M340i (G20), BMW M440i (G22/G23) and BMW M440i Gran Coupe (G26).

What It Does

This part controls the exhaust valves on an Akrapovič system or adds a function to them. It lets the valves open and close as Akrapovič intended, so the car stays quiet at cruise and opens up under load.

Materials and Construction

The part is made by Akrapovič to the same standard as its complete exhaust systems.

Akrapovič started in racing and still develops its road parts with the same tools: its own dyno, sound lab and titanium foundry. Each part is made to fit the factory mounting points of the car.

Akrapovič was founded in Slovenia in 1990 by Igor Akrapovič and built its name in motorsport before moving into road-car exhausts. That racing background shows in the attention to weight, flow and build quality.

Akrapovič designs and builds its exhausts in Slovenia. The company is known for its titanium work, its carbon-fibre parts and the sound tuning it does for each car.
