The Akrapovič Mercedes-AMG Titanium Evolution Line Cat Back OPF/GPF (part S-ME/T/2) is an Evolution Line exhaust for the Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG 4x4 Squared (W463A). On the Akrapovič dyno it added 10.8 hp and 14 lb-ft.

Performance and Sound

An Evolution Line covers a longer stretch of the exhaust than a slip-on, usually from the catalytic converters or the middle section back. The bigger scope lets Akrapovič tune the whole flow path for power, torque and sound together. Valves in the system keep it calm at a steady cruise and open it up for a much louder, deeper sound when you push on. An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is offered for this car to add more control over the exhaust sound. Akrapovič also offers optional link pipes for this car, intended for closed-course use.

Materials and Construction

Titanium is the material Akrapovič is best known for. It is much lighter than steel, handles heat well and resists corrosion, so the system keeps its strength and finish over many heat cycles. Some of the parts are cast in Akrapovič's own titanium foundry.

Akrapovič started in racing and still develops its road parts with the same tools: its own dyno, sound lab and titanium foundry. Each part is made to fit the factory mounting points of the car.
