Overview

Part M-ME/T/5H/R is the Akrapovič Mercedes Benz G63 AMG (W463) Replacement Muffler Right (S-ME/TI/2H), a replacement muffler made for the Mercedes-Benz G550 (W463) and Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG (W463). Akrapovič lists it for use with S-ME/TI/2H.

What It Does

This is a replacement muffler section for an Akrapovič system. It lets an owner restore or repair one section of the exhaust without replacing the whole system.

Materials and Construction

The titanium construction saves weight compared with the steel factory parts. Titanium also handles high exhaust temperatures and takes on its distinctive colouring with use.

Akrapovič designs and builds its exhausts in Slovenia. The company is known for its titanium work, its carbon-fibre parts and the sound tuning it does for each car.

Akrapovič was founded in Slovenia in 1990 by Igor Akrapovič and built its name in motorsport before moving into road-car exhausts. That racing background shows in the attention to weight, flow and build quality.

Akrapovič started in racing and still develops its road parts with the same tools: its own dyno, sound lab and titanium foundry. Each part is made to fit the factory mounting points of the car.
