Benefits

This rear-section system takes the place of the stock silencers. Freer flow through the mufflers sharpens throttle response and gives the engine a clearer voice, while the lighter construction takes weight off the rear axle. The valved design means one exhaust can be refined on the motorway and loud on a back road or track. An optional Akrapovič Sound Kit is offered for this car to add more control over the exhaust sound. Akrapovič has versions and fitment notes for cars with and without a particulate filter, so check the engine and chassis in the table.

Materials and Construction

The titanium construction saves weight compared with the steel factory parts. Titanium also handles high exhaust temperatures and takes on its distinctive colouring with use. Some of the parts are cast in Akrapovič's own titanium foundry.

Akrapovič was founded in Slovenia in 1990 by Igor Akrapovič and built its name in motorsport before moving into road-car exhausts. That racing background shows in the attention to weight, flow and build quality.
