Overview

The AMS Performance 2022+ Subaru WRX Front Mount Intercooler Kit replaces the factory top mount with a 26" x 12" x 4" bar and plate core, a 347% increase in core volume that fills the front bumper opening. AMS measured a 54.4°F lower charge air temperature than the OEM top mount, and a 36.4% drop in intake air temperature on its full bolt-on test car.

The kit includes 3" mandrel bent aluminum piping, custom silicone couplers with ID matched connections and smooth internal transitions, CNC billet flanges, quality clamps and hardware. The intercooler is TIG welded by hand in the USA with high volume aluminum end tanks and is pressure tested before boxing.

AMS kept OEM functions working: the tow hook mount is built into the intercooler bracket, the ambient air temperature sensor is moved to a better spot, and the washer fluid filler neck is relocated for charge pipe fitment. The bumper does not need trimming, but the plastic engine bay liners need slight trimming and the factory bumper beam is removed. The kit does not work with OEM intake piping or most aftermarket intakes.

FAQ

Do I have to cut the bumper?
No. Some owners trim the opening for looks, but it is not required.

Will it work with my intake?
It is not compatible with OEM intake piping or most aftermarket intakes. AMS intakes fit.

Can I still use the tow hook?
Yes. The tow hook mount is built into the bracket.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
