AMS Top Mount Intercooler | 2022+ Subaru WRX

The AMS Performance 2022+ Subaru WRX Top Mount Intercooler uses a 21" x 7.5" x 4" bar and plate core that fills the factory hood scoop and duct. That is a 71% larger core than stock, and AMS measured a 48.6°F lower charge air temperature than the OEM top mount.

The 37 row core has louvered fins inside and out for more heat transfer surface. AMS also measured 15% more mass airflow and 12% less pressure drop than stock, and the charge pipe flange opening is 13% larger to cut restriction from the turbo to the intercooler.

The intercooler has high volume cast aluminum end tanks, is TIG welded by hand in the USA and is pressure tested before boxing. AMS designed it in SolidWorks and validated it on the flow bench and in real-world testing. It uses the factory mounting locations and hardware for a direct bolt-in fit with no cutting or trimming.
