AMS Alpha 8 GTX3582 Gen II Race Turbo Kit | 2020 Toyota GR Supra

The AMS Performance Alpha 8 GTX3582 Gen II Race Turbo Kit (AMS.38.14.0003-1) is a complete single turbo upgrade for the 2020 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 with the B58 engine. AMS built it as the first publicly available internally gated full turbo kit for the A90 that keeps the factory electronic wastegate, so the factory ECU controls boost the way Toyota intended. AMS says the electronic wastegate responds faster than mechanical setups, which helps part-throttle drivability and on-off throttle work on a road course.

At its heart is a Garrett GTX3582R Gen II with a 66mm inducer, 8mm dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge and a 4 in inlet and 2.5 in discharge compressor cover, good for over 700 whp. It bolts to a hand-fabricated tubular manifold with 1.5 in ID 304L schedule 10 primaries and a TiAL internally gated exhaust housing with a 3.5 in V-band discharge. A TIG-welded 3.5 in 304L stainless downpipe tapers to the factory joint, with a lined flex section and an 80mm factory-style slip joint.

AMS pre-installs the oil and water lines on the turbo and clocks the compressor cover to save install time. Billet AN adapters let the coolant and oil lines connect directly to the B58 without leaks. The kit is a direct bolt-in that keeps A/C, power steering and all other factory options, and it can go back to stock with a few inexpensive replacement parts.

Before You Order

This list is copied from AMS. A charge pipe is not included.

A custom charge pipe must be fabricated during the install unless the car already has the AMS GR Supra 3 in charge pipe. Plan on a tune to match the new turbo.

Installation

AMS designed the kit as a direct bolt-in without cutting. The oil and water lines arrive installed on the turbo and the compressor cover is already clocked. A custom charge pipe is needed unless you have the AMS 3 in charge pipe. We recommend a professional install and a tune.

FAQ

Does it fit 2021 and newer Supras?
AMS lists this kit for the 2020 GR Supra 3.0 (2-port B58) only. Call us before ordering for a 2021-2026 car.

Do I need a new charge pipe?
Only if you do not already have the AMS GR Supra 3 in charge pipe. Otherwise a custom charge pipe has to be made during the install.

Does it keep A/C and power steering?
Yes. AMS says it works with A/C, power steering and all other factory options and can be returned to stock.

Fitment Notes
