Overview

The AMS Performance Cold Air Intake Kit for the Infiniti Q50 and Q60 3.0t (part number ALP.28.08.0001-1, formerly sold as the Red Alpha intake) is a true cold-air system for the VR30DDTT twin-turbo V6. INFINITI USA chose it for its official Motorsports Catalog, and it carries CARB Executive Order D-825-7, so it is legal in all 50 states.

Sealed intake boxes keep engine-bay heat away from the filters, and bell-horn dry filters with wire-reinforced silicone inlet hoses smooth airflow into each turbo. The kit reuses the factory MAF housings, so the car drives normally with no surging, no check-engine light and no tune required. AMS measured an average gain of about 17 wheel horsepower over stock.

It installs in the factory mounting locations with AMS's detailed instructions. The dry filters can be cleaned with a mild degreaser, rinsed and left to dry fully before reinstalling.

FAQ

Do I need a tune?
No. The kit uses the factory MAF housings and runs on the stock calibration with no check-engine light.

Is it legal in California?
Yes. It carries CARB EO D-825-7.

How do I clean the filters?
Use a mild degreaser, rinse thoroughly, blow out from the inside and let them dry a day or two.

Fitment Notes

Fits the 2016-2024 Infiniti Q50 3.0t and 2017-2022 Q60 3.0t (VR30DDTT) sold in the US, RWD and AWD. It does not fit the 2.0t or hybrid Q50. Replacement filters: AMS replacement filters.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
