AMS Alpha Billet Oil Filter Adapter | 2009-2024 Nissan GT-R R35

The AMS Performance R35 Race Oil Filter Adapter Plate lets a high-horsepower GT-R run a proper racing oil filter in the stock location. In high-rpm testing AMS saw the stock filter collapse its media, balloon its casing and spend time in bypass, leaving the engine with little or no filtration.

AMS race engines run thicker 15W-50 oil and rev about 2,000 rpm past stock, so they needed a filter designed for more flow and pressure. The adapter is machined from aerospace-grade aluminum and accepts a widely used filter size, which also adds a little oil capacity.

Choose the adapter with a race filter, with a street filter, or with a street filter for the AMS race cooling kit. The race option uses a Wix 51060R full-flow filter rated to about 28 gpm, which AMS says flows nearly three times as much oil as typical performance filters.

FAQ

Which option do I need?
Race cars should use the race filter. Street cars can use the street filter, and cars with the AMS race cooling kit should use that version.

Does it fit in the stock location?
Yes. The adapter mounts where the factory filter goes.

Can I use thicker oil?
Yes. AMS designed it for engines running 15W-50 at high rpm.
