Overview

The AMS Performance Alpha R35 GT-R Main Stud Kit (part number ALP.07.04.0009-1) replaces the factory main bolts when you build a VR38DETT. AMS says the studs reach 50% higher clamp loads than stock, which keeps the main caps secure in a high-boost, high-rpm engine.

The studs are made from premium L19 alloy steel for superior strength and fatigue resistance over other brands. They are the stock size, so no machining or modification is needed to install them.

If the engine is already apart for any reason, the main studs are a smart, low-cost investment in reliability. Follow the AMS torque procedure: torque first to 55 ft-lb, then to 80 ft-lb using the supplied moly lube.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.
