Overview

The AMS Performance 2015-2021 Subaru WRX Front Mount Intercooler Kit keeps intake temperatures down and power up on the FA20 WRX, whether you live somewhere hot, drag race or make long high-speed pulls. It replaces the stock top-mount intercooler with a front-mount core that fills the bumper opening.

The 4" thick bar-and-plate core is 28.5" wide and 10.25" tall, with 325% more volume than the stock top mount, so far more cool, dense air passes through it. Each core has aluminum end tanks, is hand TIG welded and is pressure tested before boxing.

The full kit includes black powder coated 2.5" mandrel-bent aluminum piping and silicone couplers with recessed connections and an OEM-style BOV mount. An optional bumper beam with a threaded tow hook point gives an OEM-like install. Choose the full kit with or without the beam, the core only, the piping only or the beam only.

Do I need to cut anything?
Slight trimming of the bumper ducting is needed, and the factory beam is removed.

Can I keep my tow hook?
Yes, with the optional AMS bumper beam, which has a threaded tow hook point.

Does it fit the STI?
No. It is for the FA20 WRX.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
