Overview

The AMS Performance Q50/Q60 Red Alpha Fuel Filter Kit is a high-quality in-line fuel filter system for the VR30. OEM fuel system failures are fairly common on the VR30, especially with E50 or E85. Ethanol acts as a cleaning agent and can dislodge sediment built up in the tank from years of low-grade gasoline, and a quality filter keeps that debris out of the injectors and engine.

The CNC-machined housing bolts to the chassis at OEM bolt locations, so the filter and lines are secured against movement, a safety feature many universal kits lack. A 6 micron glass filter element is fully ethanol compatible, and the kit uses motorsport AN fittings, aluminum quick-connects and black nylon-coated E85-compatible -6AN braided hose for leak-free operation.

This version is the add-on unit that integrates with the AMS flex fuel kit (sold separately) for a seamless install.

FAQ

Do I need this with E85?
It is strongly recommended. Ethanol can loosen sediment that a quality filter will catch.

Is it a permanent modification?
No. It bolts in with no permanent changes.

What filter rating is used?
A 6 micron glass element.

Do I need the flex fuel kit?
Yes. This version is made to integrate with it. Choose the standalone version otherwise.
