Overview

The AMS Performance Subaru EJ Intake Manifold is a cast, high-flow replacement for the factory intake manifold on EJ-powered WRX and STI models. AMS designed and tested it in house with SolidWorks and CFD software, and in back-to-back dyno testing it made as much as 51 wheel horsepower more than the OEM manifold.

A 4.5-liter plenum feeds 13" equal-length runners with 2.5" (63.5mm) tapered ports, so every cylinder sees the same airflow and the powerband stays broad. CNC-machined billet bellhorns act as internal velocity stacks for strong top-end power. The head-side ports are enlarged so they can be matched to ported heads, and the throttle-body opening accepts bodies up to 2.625" (66.7mm), or 70mm with mild porting, along with top-feed injectors and aftermarket rails.

FAQ

Will it work with my top-mount intercooler?
No. The manifold is not compatible with top-mount intercoolers, so you need a front-mount setup.

Which throttle body do I need?
2002-2005 WRX need an adapter for the drive-by-cable WRX throttle body; 2008-2014 WRX need an STI-style drive-by-wire throttle body.

Does it fit Legacy or Forester?
AMS says it fits various EJ25 Legacy and Forester models with the right throttle body and custom fitting.

Fitment Notes

Fits 2002-2014 Subaru Impreza WRX (EJ20/EJ25), 2004-2014 Impreza WRX STI and 2015-2021 WRX STI (EJ257) sold in the US. 2008-2021 STI may need mild clearancing at the A/C line. Not for the FA20 or FA24 WRX. Browse all AMS Performance parts.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
