Overview

High horsepower launches flex the DL800 transmission case, which can pull parts like the ring and pinion out of alignment and lead to failure. The AMS Performance R8/Huracan DL800 Reinforced Differential Cover and Transmission Brace adds three mounting points for support arms that greatly stiffen the whole three piece case.

Instead of copying the stock cover in billet, AMS used real world data to calculate the forces on the differential cover and ring and pinion, then simulated its design to find the best structural improvements. The cover and brace arms are 6061-T6 billet aluminum with a 4130 chromoly rear mounting plate and ARP 8740 chromoly bolts, which are reusable unlike the OEM torque-to-yield aluminum bolts.

The kit also includes an air valve relocation tube and a radial ball bearing with axle seals. It is a direct fit and fully reversible, but the transmission must be removed from the car to install it.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.
