AMS SST Transmission Cooler Kit | Lancer Evo X MR & Ralliart

The AMS Evo X MR / Ralliart Transmission Cooler Kit (part number AMS.04.02.0001-1) was the first cooler kit made for the 6-speed SST dual-clutch transmission. SST owners know that hard driving makes the transmission overheat and turns on the dash "slow down" warning, and this kit is designed to keep temperatures in check.

It replaces the factory cooler with a larger, high-quality core that adds about half a quart of fluid capacity and has more frontal area for better cooling. An 8" fan with a stainless shroud pulls air through the core the entire time the car is running, so the cooler works even in traffic.

The cooler mounts in the OEM location with 100% stainless brackets, connects to the OEM lines with Aeroquip push-lock fittings, and the fan wires into the factory fuse box. No cutting of OEM plastics or body panels is needed. It is made to fit with the stock lower intercooler pipe.

FAQ

Does it fit the Evo X GSR?
No. It is for SST cars: the Evo X MR and the Lancer Ralliart.

Will it work with an aftermarket lower intercooler pipe?
Most will not fit, including the AMS lower pipe. The kit is made to fit the stock lower intercooler pipe.

Does the fan run all the time?
Yes. It runs whenever the car is on.
