AMS Upper Intercooler Pipe / Hot Pipe | 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Evo X

The AMS Evo X Upper Intercooler Pipe (UICP) is a direct replacement for the factory upper intercooler pipe on the 2008-2015 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X. It is made from lightweight 2.5" mandrel-bent aluminum tubing with a smooth 2" to 2.5" transition, so boosted air reaches the throttle body with less turbulence than the factory pipe allows.

The factory couplers are a weak point once boost goes up. AMS replaces all of them with 4-ply silicone couplers rated for 50+ psi, bead rolls the pipe ends so couplers cannot slide off, and mounts the pipe to the core support in the factory location. A silicone hump hose absorbs engine movement so couplers do not tear.

Each pipe is TIG welded in house by AMS fabricators and is offered in polished aluminum (AMS.04.09.0002-1) or black wrinkle powder coat (AMS.04.09.0002-2).

Both are identical except for the finish: polished aluminum or black wrinkle powder coat.

Will it blow off under high boost?
The bead-rolled ends, core-support mount and 50+ psi couplers are designed to prevent that.
