AWE 2.7T Performance Intercoolers, Carbon Fiber Shrouds for Audi S4 B5, allroad

The twin-turbo 2.7T V6 in the B5 Audi S4 and the C5 allroad and A6 responds brilliantly to more boost, but its small factory side-mount intercoolers lose efficiency fast. Many owners turned to European RS4 intercoolers, which were never designed for the US chassis and demand heavy cutting of both the cores and the car. AWE developed the kit with extensive testing on S4s running its turbo upgrades, paying close attention to boost drop: as boost climbs, a restrictive core can lose more pressure than it gains in cooling. The AWE cores use maximum side-mount dimensions and an efficient air-to-air design with cast end tanks for strong flow, and every assembly is pressure checked before it ships.

Carbon fiber shrouds, added by AWE in 2012, make the kit lighter and cover 100% of each core face so cooling air cannot escape around the edges the way it does with many RS4 setups. Does it fit the allroad and A6?
Yes, with minimal trimming. AWE notes the bumper and shrouds need minor trimming to fit the A6 and allroad.

Why not use RS4 intercoolers?
RS4 units were built for the Europe-only RS4 and need significant cutting to fit a US 2.7T car. AWE designed this kit for the US chassis.

Can I buy the carbon shrouds separately?
Yes. AWE sells the carbon fiber shrouds on their own for owners who already run AWE 2.7T intercoolers.

Fitment Notes

• Fits the 2000-2002 Audi S4 (B5) sedan and Avant and the 2001-2004 allroad quattro 2.7T. A6 and allroad models need minimal trimming of the bumper and shrouds.
