Overview

The AWE AirGate Carbon Intake gives the B9 and B9.5 Audi S4, S5 and RS5 a genuine 2x2 carbon fiber airbox with a removable carbon lid. With the lid on it stays stealthy for daily driving; take the lid off and the turbo spool under boost fills the cabin.

AWE designed, engineered and tested the AirGate in-house. On a B9 S4 or S5 3.0T with a piggyback tuner, AWE measured max gains of 17 hp and 13 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, and on the 2.9-liter twin-turbo RS5 the gains reached 16 hp and 3 lb-ft at the wheels with a piggyback tuner. The intake integrates with the OEM inlet ducting, creates a smooth transition from the airbox inlet to the turbo inlet and keeps the stock mounting locations.

The kit uses the durable, washable high-flow AWE S-FLO filter, and the carbon is finished in UV-stabilized resin and clear coat. AWE backs it with its Perfect Fitment guarantee and No Check Engine Light guarantee.

Does it fit the A4 or A5 2.0T?
No. The 2.0T A4 and A5 use a separate AWE AirGate intake.

Do I need a tune?
No. AWE measured its numbers with a piggyback tuner, but the intake installs on a stock car.

Is it CARB legal?
No. AWE does not list a CARB Executive Order for this intake.

Fitment Notes

Fits the B9 and B9.5 Audi S4 Sedan (2018-2025), S5 Coupe, Cabriolet and Sportback (2018-2025), RS5 Coupe (2018-2019, 2021-2024) and RS5 Sportback (2019, 2021-2025). Audi did not sell a 2020 RS5 in the US.
The RS 4 Avant was not sold in the US; call us before ordering for any car not listed.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
