If you already run AWE Performance Intercoolers on a 2.7T Audi and want the lighter, cleaner look of carbon, these are the shrouds you need. AWE introduced carbon fiber shrouds for its 2.7T intercooler kit in 2012, and now sells them on their own so earlier kit owners can upgrade without buying new cores.

Each shroud is designed by AWE to channel incoming air straight into the face of its intercooler. The shrouds match AWE's maximum side-mount core dimensions, so the full face of each core is covered and cooling air is not wasted around the edges, which is a common problem with RS4 conversions on US cars. The result is an efficient air-to-air setup that looks as good as it works.

Behind the shrouds, AWE's 2.7T intercoolers use efficient cast end tanks for maximum flow, and each assembly is pressure checked before it leaves AWE's facility. Adding the carbon shrouds keeps that performance intact while trimming weight from the front of the car and giving the engine bay a finished, motorsport look every time the bumper comes off.
