AWE ColdFront Intercoolers for 2014-2019 Porsche 911 Turbo, Turbo S 991

The AWE ColdFront™ Intercooler Kit draws on AWE's long history with turbocharged Porsches, going back to the 996. For the 991 Turbo and Turbo S, AWE designed its own cast end tanks and cores, then refined them through power testing on its dyno. The cores are 17% larger than the 991's factory intercoolers, 523 cubic inches versus 448, and use a high-flow bar-and-plate design with increased fin density.

AWE reports 20% lower air temperatures, a peak drop of 32°F, and a 50% reduction in pressure drop through the cores. On AWE's 991 Turbo S, paired with the AWE Turbo Performance Exhaust, S-FLO Carbon Intake and performance software, the intercoolers helped deliver dyno-verified max gains of 26 hp and 21 lb-ft at the crank and nearly a full second off 60-130 mph times.

Because the cores are the largest the 991 Turbo rear fenders can hold, the OEM ducts no longer fit, so AWE designed bolt-in carbon fiber ducts that mate directly to the ColdFront™ cores with no trimming or cutting. Thick-wall 6-ply silicone hoses with Nomex braiding, stainless high-force T-bolt clamps and a molded lip that duplicates the factory turbo locking design complete the kit.

Yes. AWE confirms fitment for both 991.1 and 991.2 Turbo and Turbo S models.

Can I reuse my factory ducts?
No. The larger cores need the AWE carbon fiber ducts, which are included.
