AWE Non-Resonated Mid Pipe for 2016-2018 BMW 340i F30 and 2017-2020 440i F3X

The B58 inline-six in the F30 340i and F32/F33/F36 440i sounds muted through the factory mid pipe, which runs the exhaust through a resonator to cancel the frequencies BMW chose to quiet. The AWE Performance Mid Pipe removes that section. It is non-resonated and replaces the factory resonated mid pipe with straight-through 3in T304L stainless steel tubing.

AWE handcrafts it from 3in U.S.-sourced, CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless, and it is engineered, designed and manufactured in-house. It works with the stock rear exhaust, so it is an easy way to let the B58 be heard.

If you install the mid pipe on its own with the factory rear section, the stock exhaust must be cut to fit. Plan for that, or have a qualified exhaust shop do the install.

Do I have to cut my exhaust?
Yes, if you install the mid pipe alone with the stock rear section. AWE notes cutting the stock exhaust is necessary in that case.

Will it trigger a check engine light?
No. AWE backs it with its No Check Engine Light guarantee.

Does it fit the 330i or 430i?
No. It is for the six-cylinder B58 340i and 440i models listed.
