Overview

On the 997.2 Porsche 911 Carrera, exhaust gas entering the factory rear center muffler is forced through a tight-radius U-turn before it exits from the same side. That turn costs flow and power. The AWE Performance Cross Over Pipes remove the center rear muffler from the equation and give the gas the smoothest, straightest path possible.

They are aimed at owners who want to lose the rear muffler without the slight power loss an X-pipe can bring. AWE measured gains of 5 hp and 5 lb-ft of torque at the crank, and the pipes are 6.5 lb lighter than the factory center muffler. The tone wakes up too, with more of the flat-six's character coming through.

The pipes are built from 100% T304 stainless steel and bolt on in place of the factory center muffler, which makes them an affordable and simple modification. Like all AWE exhaust parts they come with the AWE Perfect Fitment guarantee.

Will it be much louder?
Removing the center muffler adds volume and a sharper flat-six tone, while the factory side mufflers stay in place.

Does it fit the 997.1 or a Turbo?
No. It is for the 997.2 Carrera family only.

Does it fit all-wheel-drive Carrera 4 models?
The Carrera 4 GTS is listed for 2012. For other Carrera 4 and 4S cars, call us before ordering.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
