AWE Resonated Downpipes for Audi 3.0T S4, S5, A6, A7 B8, C7

The AWE Resonated Downpipes replace the factory post-cat resonated downpipes on Audi's 3.0T supercharged V6, the engine shared by the B8 and B8.5 S4 and S5 and the C7 and C7.5 A6 and A7 3.0T. They use larger-than-stock tubing for better flow, but carry resonators that are larger than the factory units, so the result is a fuller, more refined tone rather than a big jump in volume.

AWE strongly recommends this resonated version for S tronic cars, especially when paired with an AWE Touring Edition exhaust, where it gives the most sophisticated, drone-controlled sound in the 3.0T lineup. The downpipes bolt directly to AWE Touring and Track Edition systems, and they also work with the factory cat-back if you want to keep the rear of the car stock.

There is a practical bonus too: on some S4s the factory downpipes can rattle when paired with an AWE 3.0T exhaust, and fitting AWE downpipes eliminates that possibility. Because these are post-catalyst pipes, the factory catalytic converters stay in place. They are made from U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, CNC mandrel-bent and finished in-house by AWE with internally hand-finished welds and port-matched flanges.

The resonated version is the quieter, more refined choice and the one AWE recommends for S tronic cars. AWE non-resonated downpipes are louder and more aggressive.

Do I need an AWE cat-back?
No. They work with the factory exhaust, and they bolt directly to AWE Touring and Track Edition systems.

Do they remove the catalytic converters?
No. These are post-cat downpipes; the factory catalytic converters stay on the car.

Do I need a tune?

Fitment Notes

• Fits the 3.0T supercharged V6 in the 2010-2016 Audi S4 sedan, 2013-2017 S5 Coupe, 2010-2017 S5 Cabriolet, and 2012-2018 A6 and A7 3.0T quattro. It does not fit 4.2L V8 S5 coupes (2010-2012), 2.0T models, or the 3.0 TDI diesel.
