Audi's B9 SQ5 has a wonderfully strong 3.0-liter turbo V6, but the factory valved exhaust keeps most of that character hidden. AWE's Resonated Touring Edition Exhaust for the 2018-2024 SQ5 and 2021-2024 SQ5 Sportback gives the engine a richer, more confident voice while keeping the cabin calm enough for the daily commute, school runs and long road trips.

The system replaces the factory valved exhaust with AWE's patented 180 Technology drone-canceling mufflers and an electronic valve simulator, so there are no warning lights. 180 Technology targets only the narrow band of frequencies that cause cabin drone at a steady cruise, which means the SQ5 settles down on the highway and then delivers its pops and burbles when you get on the throttle or downshift. A precision-engineered X-pipe developed for the SQ5 adds a smooth, exotic howl at higher rpm.

This is the resonated version. Its post-catalyst downpipe sections carry inline resonators that smooth out raspy tones for the most refined sound in AWE's SQ5 range. AWE handcrafts the system in the USA from 2.5-inch CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, and it reuses your factory tip trims for a clean OEM-plus look. Resonated or Non-Resonated?
The resonated version has inline resonators for the smoothest tone; the non-resonated version is a bit louder and rawer. Both use the same 180 Technology mufflers.

Will I get a check engine light?
No. AWE includes an electronic valve simulator and backs the system with its No CEL guarantee.

Will it fit with the sport differential?
Yes. AWE lists the SQ5 Touring Edition as compatible with both the standard and the sport rear differential.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
