Put an aftermarket downpipe on a G20 BMW M340i and the exhaust note gets louder and rougher, which is great at full throttle and less great on a long drive. AWE's Resonated Touring Edition Exhaust for the 2020-2026 M340i and M340i xDrive was developed for exactly that car. Inline resonators in the mid-section smooths the rasp, while the rest of the system keeps the B58 sounding deep and clean.

At the back, AWE's patented 180 Technology rear mufflers cancel the specific frequencies that cause cabin drone, so the car is quiet and relaxed at a steady highway speed and wakes up the moment you ask for power. The straight-through layout flows 65% more than the factory system, and AWE measured gains of up to 16 hp and 12 lb-ft at the wheels on stock software, with more headroom for tuned cars.

AWE handcrafts every system in the USA from 3-inch CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-made .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel. The mid-pipe inlet adapter works with the factory downpipe or aftermarket downpipes with 80mm outlets, and the system installs with no cutting. Do I need an aftermarket downpipe?
No, it fits the stock downpipe too. AWE designed the resonated version for cars with an aftermarket downpipe, where it keeps the tone smoother.

Is it quiet on the highway?
Yes. The 180 Technology rear mufflers cancel drone at cruise.

Will it fit my M340i with an aftermarket downpipe?
Yes, if the downpipe has an 80mm outlet. AWE includes a mid-pipe inlet adapter for the stock downpipe and 80mm aftermarket units.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

  • Fits U.S.-market 2020-2026 BMW M340i and M340i xDrive sedans (G20, B58 3.0L turbo).
  • AWE does not approve its G2X M340i / M440i exhausts for Gran Coupe (G26) vehicles.
  • M440i coupe and convertible owners: we list the same system separately for those cars.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
