AWE S-FLO Carbon Intake for 2008-2012 Audi S5 4.2L V8 B8

The naturally aspirated 4.2-liter V8 in the B8 Audi S5 Coupe lives on airflow, and the factory airbox makes it breathe through a paper element in a hot engine bay. The AWE S-FLO Carbon Intake replaces it with the washable S-FLO Filter, a high-flow 4-ply Nomex, fluorosilicone-lined, steel-wire-reinforced silicone air tube, and a 2x2 twill carbon fiber cover.

With the system fully enclosed, ambient ram air enters through the OEM inlet and is fed beneath the carbon cover, keeping the charge cooler than an open element exposed to engine-bay heat. AWE measured 34% more airflow than stock and max gains of 11 hp and 9 lb-ft of torque at the crank.

The intake mounts in the factory location for a clean OEM look and includes all brackets and mounting hardware. The carbon carries a UV-stabilized resin clear coat, and AWE designed, engineered and tested the system in-house.

No. The S5 Cabriolet uses the 3.0T supercharged V6. This intake is for the 4.2L V8 S5 Coupe.

Do I need a tune?
