AWE SwitchPath Exhaust for 2018-2022 Audi TT RS 8S/MK3 Coupe 2.5L Turbo, Diamond Black Tips

Smooth bends, tight packaging and two attitudes. The AWE SwitchPath Exhaust for the 2018-2022 Audi TT RS (8S/MK3) is a cat-back system built around the car's 2.5-liter turbocharged five-cylinder. It pairs a single-pass, five-cylinder-specific tuned muffler on the driver's side with a valved tip outlet on the passenger's side.

SwitchPath keeps the factory valve behavior. The valve still obeys the TT RS ECU, opening and closing based on throttle input, engine speed, Audi drive select mode and the exhaust button in the cabin. Leaving early or creeping through town? Close the valve for a civil, full-bodied tone. Click into Dynamic mode and the TT RS sings AWE's signature five-cylinder tune, with stronger RS burbles on the overrun.

AWE dyno testing showed peak gains of 30 hp and 7 lb-ft of torque, and maximum gains of 30 hp and 25 lb-ft at 6,400 rpm, measured at the wheels. The system also removes 28.5 lbs compared with the stock exhaust. Its clean, straight-through layout uses CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-sourced 0.065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, designed, engineered and handcrafted in-house by AWE.

Diamond Black 180 mm RS-style oval tips with a stamped AWE logo come standard and fill the factory bumper openings. It is a direct bolt-on with no tune needed, backed by AWE's Fitment Guarantee, No Check Engine Light Guarantee and Lifetime Warranty (one year on the tip finish).

Does the exhaust button still work?
Yes. SwitchPath keeps factory valve control, including the cabin exhaust button and drive select modes.

Is there a louder version?
Yes. The Track Edition Exhaust drops the muffler and valve for a constant open sound. AWE also offers a SwitchPath-to-Track Conversion Kit.

Does it need a tune?
No. It is a direct bolt-on and carries the AWE No CEL Guarantee.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
