Overview

The 8V Audi S3 packs a turbocharged 2.0-liter four into a compact, quattro-equipped sedan, and the AWE SwitchPath Exhaust gives it a voice to match. With the valve closed it cruises quietly; open it and the S3 sounds as quick as it really is.

AWE designed, engineered and manufactured the system in-house, handcrafting it from CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel in a clean, straight-through layout. AWE measured maximum gains of 12 hp and 9 lb-ft at the wheels with a turbo-back setup on stock software. It is a direct bolt-on for factory-like install simplicity.

The quad 4-inch double-walled, slash-cut tips come in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. For push-button mood control, the AWE SwitchPath Remote is available separately. The system carries AWE's Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees and a lifetime warranty. Prefer a fixed, louder sound? The Track Edition for the S3 is listed separately.

Is the remote included?
No. The AWE SwitchPath Remote is sold separately.

Does it fit the 8Y S3?
No. The 2022 and later 8Y S3 uses a different AWE system.

Can I convert it to the Track Edition later?
Yes. AWE offers a SwitchPath-to-Track Conversion Kit, sold separately.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

  • Fits U.S.-market 2015-2020 Audi S3 sedan (8V) with the 2.0T engine.
  • Not for the A3, RS 3 or the 8Y S3. Please call to confirm fitment if your car has been modified.
  • Direct bolt-on for factory-like install simplicity, per AWE. No tune required.

Shipping & returns

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
