Overview

The B9 and B9.5 Audi S4 pair a 3.0-liter turbocharged V6 with a polished, grown-up character. The AWE SwitchPath Exhaust lets you keep that composure on the commute and unleash the full V6 voice when the road opens up, all from one valved system.

This non-resonated version includes AWE downpipes and a precision-engineered X-pipe, and it works with both the standard and sport differentials. Valve position can follow the factory valve programming, or you can add the optional AWE SwitchPath Remote for push-button control. AWE measured maximum gains of 16 hp and 17 lb-ft at the crank from its S4 exhaust systems.

AWE handcrafts the system from dual 2.5-inch CNC mandrel-bent, U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel in a clean, straight-through design, finished with quad 4-inch double-walled tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. It is a direct bolt-on with factory-like install simplicity, engineered and manufactured in-house in the USA, and covered by AWE's Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees and the AWE Lifetime Exhaust Warranty.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the remote included?
No. The AWE SwitchPath Remote is optional and sold separately; the valves can also follow factory programming.

Does it work with the sport differential?
Yes. AWE lists compatibility with standard and sport differentials.

Does it fit the S5?
No. The B9 S5 uses a different AWE system, listed separately.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
