AWE SwitchPath Exhaust for 2022-2026 Audi RS3 8Y, No Tips

The 2.5-liter five-cylinder in the 8Y Audi RS3 is one of the most characterful engines on sale, and the AWE SwitchPath Exhaust lets it speak up when you want and stay polite when you don't. SwitchPath keeps the RS3's factory valve behavior, so the exhaust still follows the car's ECU commands based on throttle input, engine speed and Audi drive select.

Creeping out of the neighborhood early or cruising through town, the valve stays closed and the system stays civil. Press harder or click into Dynamic mode and the valve opens for AWE's signature five-cylinder howl, with stronger RS burbles on the overrun. AWE supplies a plug-and-play valve assembly, so there is no need to transfer the factory valve actuator during install.

AWE handcrafts the system in-house in the USA from CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel, with a clean, straight-through layout. AWE measured gains of up to 9 hp and 11 lb-ft of torque at the wheels, and the SwitchPath system weighs 30.5 lbs less than the factory exhaust. How is SwitchPath different from the Track Edition?
SwitchPath keeps a resonator and a working valve, so the car can run quiet with the valve closed. The Track Edition removes both and sounds like the valve is always open.

Do I need to move my factory valve actuator?
No. AWE includes a plug-and-play valve assembly.

Does it come with tips?
No. It reuses the factory RS3 tips.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
