Overview

Porsche Sport Exhaust (PSE) gives the 718 Boxster and Cayman a button for more sound, and the AWE SwitchPath Exhaust makes that button worth pressing. It is built for PSE cars only and keeps factory PSE operation: valve closed for sophistication, valve open for aggression, with extra burbles in Sport mode.

AWE pairs a tuned muffler on the driver's side with a valved straight section on the passenger's side, so the soundtrack changes clearly with the valve state while staying free of drone. The design is clean and straight-through, does not interfere with factory emissions equipment, and saves about 2.5 lb over stock. AWE quotes maximum gains of 9.5 hp at 7,200 rpm and 6 lb-ft from 4,370 rpm at the crank for its 718 exhaust suite.

The system is engineered, designed and manufactured in-house at AWE from U.S.-sourced CNC mandrel-bent .065-inch wall T304 stainless steel. It finishes with 102mm double-walled, slash-cut tips with the AWE logo in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black, each individually adjustable for depth in the bumper. It installs as a direct bolt-on and carries AWE's Perfect Fitment and No Check Engine Light guarantees and a lifetime warranty.

Does my car need PSE?
Yes. This SwitchPath Exhaust fits only cars equipped with the factory Porsche Sport Exhaust option.

Does it fit the 718 GTS 4.0, Spyder or GT4?
No. It is for the turbo four-cylinder 718 models listed below.

Does the PSE button still work?
Yes. Factory PSE button operation is retained.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Fitment Notes

Fits U.S.-market 2017-2025 Porsche 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman Base and S, 2018-2019 GTS 2.5, 2020-2023 T and 2024-2025 Style Edition, all with factory PSE.
Not for cars without PSE or for the GTS 4.0, Spyder or GT4.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
