The DE5 Acura Integra Type S shares its 2.0-liter turbocharged K20C1 with the Civic Type R, and it sounds best when the exhaust gets out of the way of that engine without turning every commute into a test of patience. The AWE Touring Edition Exhaust is built for exactly that owner: someone who drives the car every day, wants a richer and more purposeful tone, and still expects a calm cabin at highway speed.

The system replaces everything from the front pipe back. It uses full 3-inch tubing, an integrated front pipe that works with the factory catalytic converter or an aftermarket catted downpipe, and a rear muffler that carries AWE's patented 180 Technology to cancel the narrow band of frequencies that cause drone. AWE measured gains of up to 4 hp and 6 lb-ft at the wheels, and the complete system weighs about 46 lb, which keeps the weight change from the factory parts modest.

Like the factory layout, the Touring Edition exits through three center tips. The tips are double-walled and available in Chrome Silver, Diamond Black or Vapor Blue, a heat-tinted finish that shifts from gold to blue. Every system is handcrafted by AWE in the USA from CNC mandrel-bent T304L stainless steel and bolts to the factory hangers without cutting or a tune.
