Overview

The 8Y Audi S3 brought sharper styling and a stronger 2.0T, and the AWE Touring Edition Exhaust gives it the sound to match. It is the first AWE system for an S3 to feature patented drone-cancelling 180 Technology, delivering an exciting note when the turbo comes on boost while staying calm and drone-free at highway speeds.

AWE found it could recreate the effect of Audi drive select modes without valves, so the system drops them entirely. The result is less weight, a lower price and a simpler install with no compromise in character. The straight-through 180 Technology resonators keep full flow and are built so their internals will not break down and change the tone over time. AWE reports dyno-verified gains of 7 whp and 2 lb-ft.

Construction is CNC mandrel-bent 3-inch and 2.5-inch U.S.-sourced .065-inch wall T304L stainless steel. A slip-fit inlet adapter fits the factory downpipe perfectly while leaving an open 3-inch connection for later upgrades, and quad 4.5-inch double-walled slash-cut tips in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black are individually adjustable for a precise fit in the diffuser. Conversion kits let you move to the Track Edition later, and AWE backs the system with its No CEL guarantee, Perfect Fitment guarantee and lifetime warranty.

Yes. AWE offers a Touring-to-Track conversion kit for this system.

Will it drone on the highway?
AWE’s 180 Technology cancels the frequencies that cause drone at cruise.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.

Shipping: Orders ship via UPS, FedEx or USPS, from our facility near Los Angeles or directly from the manufacturer. Rates for many items are weight-based and shown at checkout. If you need it by a certain date, text us before you order.

Returns: Unused items in brand-new condition and original packaging can be returned within 30 days of the invoice date, with a 25% restocking fee unless otherwise specified. In some cases we can offer a lower fee with the balance as store credit. Shipping charges aren't refundable in either direction unless approved by AutoTalent.

Not returnable: special-order or custom items, and anything that has been installed, modified or altered.

Cancellations: free if the item is out of stock or we miss the ETA you agreed to. Other cancellations carry a 5% processing fee to cover card fees we can't recover. Special-order items can't be cancelled.

Damaged in transit? Report it to the carrier and to us within 48 hours, keep all packaging, and don't send anything back without our written approval.
