AWE Touring Edition Exhaust for 2009-2016 Audi A4 2.0T quattro B8 / B8.5

The B8 and B8.5 Audi A4 2.0T quattro is a refined daily driver, but its factory exhaust uses crimped tubing that holds the turbocharged four-cylinder back and keeps it quiet to the point of sounding dull. AWE's Touring Edition Exhaust replaces everything behind the factory downpipe with smooth mandrel-bent stainless tubing, so the A4 sounds calm and composed at idle and part throttle, then opens up to a sharp, purposeful note at full throttle.

The secret is AWE 180 Technology®, a drone-cancelling muffler design that targets the narrow frequency band that causes interior boom at highway speed. AWE designed the system with CAD modeling to remove the flow restrictions of the stock pipes, and quotes gains of 8 to 9 horsepower and 6 to 7 lb-ft of torque at the crank. Each double-walled 90mm (3.5-inch) slash-cut tip carries an engraved AWE logo and can be adjusted on its own for depth and stagger.

This one listing covers all three outlet layouts AWE builds for the A4, each in Chrome Silver or Diamond Black. Single Side places two tips on the left, like the factory sedan. Dual Outlet puts one tip on each side for the Avant or A4 3.2 rear valance. Quad Tip runs two tips per side and needs a quad-outlet rear valance. Which tip layout fits my rear bumper?
Single Side matches the factory A4 2.0T sedan valance. Dual Outlet needs the Avant or A4 3.2 valance with one opening on each side. Quad Tip needs a quad rear valance: the OEM B8 S4 valance on S line cars or the AWE quad valance on non-S line cars, sold separately.

Will it drone on the highway?
AWE built the Touring Edition around 180 Technology® to cancel cruise drone while keeping a straight-through flow path.

Does it fit the A4 Cabriolet?
No. The Cabriolet sold in the U.S. through 2009 is the older B7 car and is not covered by this system.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
