The N55-powered F30 335i and F32/F36 435i are quick, refined cars, but the factory exhaust keeps the turbocharged inline-six quieter than most owners would like. AWE's Touring Edition Exhaust for the F3X 335i and 435i replaces the rear muffler section with a straight-through axle-back that gives the six a deeper, cleaner voice when you accelerate while staying calm on the highway.

The key is AWE's proprietary 180 Technology, a drone-cancelling design that targets the narrow frequency band responsible for interior boom at cruise. Instead of choking flow with baffles, the muffler stays straight through, so the car sounds composed on a long commute and opens up as the revs climb. Which tip size should I choose?
The 3.5-inch tip is the closer match to the factory look; the 4-inch tip fills the bumper cutout more aggressively. Both use the same muffler.

Will it drone on the highway?
AWE designed the Touring Edition around 180 Technology specifically to cancel cruise drone while keeping the straight-through flow.

Does it need a tune?
No. It bolts on behind the factory mid pipe and works with the factory engine calibration.

Is it street legal?
AWE lists this system as 50 State Legal because it does not tamper with any emissions control or monitoring devices; it bolts on behind the catalytic converters. AWE does not publish a CARB Executive Order number for it, and local sound limits vary, so check the rules where you drive.
